February 24th 2002We had a few minor bugs that were corrected in the last 24 hours. namely a scoring calculation error, some javascript pop-up windows were too large, and we suffered a few broken links in the transistion to the new practice exam. All of these items have been reviewed and patched. Thank you to everyone who provided bug reports on the new exam. February 23rd 2002 New practice exam is on-line. this new system is database driven, contins a complete set of support figures that are linked to the associated questions, prevents you from getting duplicate questions in the same test, has smaller graphics headers, and can be managed via web-based utilities. I am excited about this new version and am looking forward to getting feedback on the new features. February 6th 2002 I am upgrading my statistics software. I have decided that it is time to build some more sophisticated (and accurate) statistics data on the site. I am tranisitioning all stats to a MySQL database server and interfacing my existing custom stats utilities with the database. I have removed public access to statistics information for the next couple days. The site went down for about 3 hours today, due to a failure by me to completely check the site after installing new code. My bad, sorry to anyone who was trying to access the system this afternoon.
February 5th 2002 Fixed a bug dealing with the email study guide that did not pass name and email on for taking another test. Working on a added feature that provides unique test questions for each and every test without duplication. Updated the kudos page with just a few of the dozens of recent comments sent to me over the last week. Glad to hear everyone loves the site! February 2nd 2002 Added new streaming audio ATC for Dallas/Fort Worth. I have compiled a list of frequently asked ATC questions and answers and linked it to the ATC page. I am still in off-line production of the new enhanced testing features I have been promising for the last 2 months :-) I am pretty happy with the progress and will be looking for beta testers for the new software. if you are interested, please email me and i will put you on the list. I will be looking for about a dozen people to start. - Chris
